Our Story
Our founder and CEO, Andrew Pass, is a serial educational entrepreneur. In 2009, he started an educational content development company that has developed educational resources used by millions of students, across all grade levels. Pass has long argued that the “F word”, failure, is an entrepreneur’s favorite word. This is not because he settles for second best. Rather it is because he recognizes that great success requires extreme challenge and deep rigor. Challenge necessarily includes error, error to be overcome.
Prior to beginning A Pass Educational Group, his content development company, Pass completed advanced doctoral work in Curriculum, Teaching, and Educational Policy at Michigan State University. During his more than twenty years of teaching, Pass recognized his love for developing creative curriculum and empowering students.
Our philosophy
Forward Thinking Education knows that students must recognize that they own their own learning. Only the student can ensure that he/she learns what they need to learn in order to accomplish their own goals. Students must recognize that they will not always be successful on their first attempt to learn or do something. But, missing the mark is not an end in itself. Instead, students, similar to all high achievers, must recognize their missteps as platforms from which they can learn and achieve extraordinary success.
